I was lucky enough to have more responsibility piled on me than my experience should have allowed me to handle.
My first job out of school I was hired as a p..pr..production designer (it's hard to admit it) to pretty much fill templates of plastic cards and their holders. It was a filler job until I could find "the perfect job." The company was going through changes and they asked me to be the Senior Designer to fill in until they could find someone else. I held that position for over a year and a half. I was able to show my abilities straight out of the gate and my Creative Director was more than happy with how things worked out. So, regardless of the small number of years under my belt, the experience and knowledge has come quickly.
Although trained and experienced primarliy as a print designer, I also enjoy designing for the web. I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS and love working with programmers to sculpt a perfect website. I'm a huge fan of clean user-friendly sites.
I started out training to be a fine artist and I quickly found out that I was more of a problem solver than an image maker. Design is where it's at.
non-designer side
'I love bikes' is a gross understatement. I'm a Lowerider, a passionate mountain bike racer who loves the outdoors more than the average person who says they "love the outdoors." My team is based out of Downingtown, PA with Loweriders Bikes and Boards shop.
As much as I love the woods, I can't live without my city. I'm an avid people watcher and the people are one of my favorite things about living in Philadelphia. I treasure the little conversations I have with the guy sitting on the steps outside almost as much as a good heart to heart with a friend.
